ICYMI – Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) spoke with Brian Kilmeade on Fox & Friends about Democrat Hallie Shoffner’s claim that she would trade five Americans for just one illegal alien.

Kilmeade: You have some differing views from your challenger, Arkansas Democrat Hallie Shoffner. She claims that farmers should trade five Americans for just one illegal immigrant. She thinks it’s bad to round up illegal immigrants that work on farms. Your thoughts?

Cotton: This is a shocking statement by my liberal Democratic opponent. She said that she would trade five Arkansans for one illegal immigrant.

The Democrats have gotten pretty radical on immigration, but this is far beyond what even Joe Biden or Kamala Harris said, or what socialists up in New York City are saying, and the reason for that is because she wants to pay American workers less. And she can pay illegal aliens less if she’s using them as opposed to employing hardworking Arkansans.

But again, it’s just another sign of how radical Democrats have become. Again, this is not New York City, it’s not Chicago; it’s in Arkansas. And my opponent is talking about trading five Arkansans for one illegal immigrant worker.

Kilmeade: She says, leave the illegals alone to work on the farms. And your stance?

Cotton: No. We should be employing hardworking Arkansans on our farms. Now, in some places, if there’s infrastructure limits like housing or so forth, there are legal visa programs to bring in legal immigrants to work. But there should never be the choice to replace five Arkansans with one illegal immigrant, just so you can pay them less and not pay hardworking Arkansans more.
