Today, the American Principles Project (APP), which advocates for traditional family values, pro-life policies, parental rights in education, and religious liberty has endorsed Senator Tom Cotton for re-election to the U.S. Senate.

“Senator Tom Cotton has been a consistent fighter for the American family and defender of the American Dream. He believes that opportunities belong to those who work hard, not people who check boxes,” said Terry Schilling, President of APP. “This year Democrats are trying to rebrand anti-family, DEI-promoting candidates like Hallie Shoffner to sneak them past voters, but we won’t let that happen. APP is proud to endorse Senator Tom Cotton for reelection and will always stand up to radical leftists who want to undermine our families, our wages, and our country.”

“I’m grateful to the American Principles Project for its endorsement and steadfast defense of American families,” said Senator Tom Cotton. Parents should raise their children, workers should get ahead on merit, and Washington should respect both. I’ll keep fighting for those principles and against the radical Left’s efforts to force its ideology on our families and our country.”

“Democrat Hallie Shoffner has refused to take positions on many issues important to Arkansas families, including the right to life, religious liberty, and parents’ rights to choose what’s best for their kids,” said James Arnold, Cotton campaign spokesman. “Arkansans expect their senators to share their conservative values and fight for them in Washington, not fly to Peru to lead a trans rights parade.”

The endorsement comes following news that Senator Cotton’s liberal Democrat opponent, Hallie Shoffner, once flew to Peru to “lead” a trans-rights advocacy parade. At the time Hallie Shoffner wrote:

“I marched in Lima’s 9th Annual Gay Pride Parade yesterday (Saturday, July 10, 2010). Now, when I say I marched in Lima’s 9th Annual Gay Pride Parade, I marched in the FRONT of Lima’s 9th Annual Gay Pride Parade. I mean in the very front. Leading the charge. My org, Promsex, funded the parade so our staff carried the opening banner.”

Shoffner described her experience “celebrating being gay, lesbian, transexual, [and] bisexual” as “incredible!”
